Pleasant break from journey with good reception, grounds surrounding, lessened by details as above.
Good receptionist and welcome front of house, for instance his organising a proper chair brought to room rather than a pouffe seat to sit on to work at desk. Generally helpful welcoming staff and atmosphere.
Items such as dirty windows not cleaned for some time, pouffe seat instead of chair (as above), poorly cooked evening meal certainly expensive for what was supplied (waiter helpful as above). Packets of milk perforated tear not opening therefore teeth required therefore milk splatters - better to have cartons with pull tops, small detail perhaps but..

Pleasant Christmas market stay
Good to have the pool etc, bedrooms were nice and spacious.
Problems with our en-suite toilet which kept flushing. Handyman came out and fixed it but problem reoccurred late at night which receptionist helped with but it reoccurred again in the middle of the night. With the flushing also came noises. Heating in children’s room didn’t work but again the handyman arrived promptly to resolve. our rooms were located quite a way from the main hotel with 2 covered walkways to go through which were very draughty. Would have preferred to have stayed in the main hotel.
